Wednesday 14th May

Lightning did strike twice — I missed another winner. D Day Major Winter was withdrawn from the 18:42 at Bath, making Havana Club joint top on last-time-out figures, top overall, and top across every metric. He duly won well at an SP of 3/1. Never mind.

The only horse I backed using the Paceform criteria and my method was Anglo Saxson in the 16:42 at Yarmouth — joint top last time out, top for course and distance, and close on other metrics. He ran well, finishing a close second but not quite good enough.

The bank drops to £35,380.98 — it would have been higher had I spotted the Havana Club opportunity. Thats the ups and downs of this game.

Overall Profit: £34,380.98

Tuesday 13th May

I made a mess of today! I didn’t realise Cosmos Raj was a non-runner in the 15:42 Beverley, which made Coolree the best last-time-out figure by 2. I would’ve backed it with plenty in its favour, but I missed it. Coolree won at 12/1. The mistakes didn’t stop there. I passed on Kimeko Glory in the 16:12 Beverley, a close call, and it won at 11/4. The only bet I placed was Opal Storm in the 15:12 Beverley, top last-time-out by 4 and close to best across all metrics. Held up, Opal Storm travelled well but couldn’t catch the leaders, closing late but running out of time. A £400 loss leaves the bank at £35,780.98. Off to clear my head before tomorrow!

Monday 12th May

Just the one bet for me today using my method and the Paceform Figures.

Snooze Lane – 19:55 Wolverhampton

Top-rated last time out by 1 point, top for course and distance, and strong across other key metrics.

The run can be forgiven – after being caught wide throughout, Snooze Lane had little left entering the straight. The jockey was never able to slot in early and was forced to race wide the entire trip.

A deficit of of £400 leaves the bank at £36,180.98.

Total Bets: 511

Total Wins: 164

Daily profit: -£400

Overall Profit: £35,180.98

Sunday 11th May

Just one meeting for me today—Newcastle on the all-weather, as I don’t bet on Irish turf. I had two bets using Paceform Figures and my method.

Cockalorum (15:25) was top last time out by 1 and led every metric.

Badri (18:45) was joint top last time out and top for course, distance, and going.

Cockalorum ran well at a big price, fading into 4th late on. Badri never featured, running poorly after drifting in the market all day.

An £800 loss brings the bank down to £36,580.98 ahead of a big week with York’s Dante Festival coming up.

Saturday 10th May

A busy Saturday with meetings all over the place, but the great thing about Paceform Figures is they reduce form study for over 30 races to just 10 minutes using my method.

Today, the criteria highlighted the following:

  • Elegant Erin (14:30 Nottingham) – Top last time out by 6, and top for course, distance, and going.

  • Boston Run (14:45 Haydock) – Top last time out by 7, and top for course and distance. The latest figure came on good, good to firm in places, which I judged close enough to today's going.

  • Haymaker (16:15 Nottingham) – Joint top last time out, top for course, and close to top on other metrics.

  • Northcliff (17:00 Ascot) – Top last time out by 1, top overall, and top for course, distance, and going.

  • Ideal Guest (18:00 Leicester) – Top last time out by 3, top for course, and close on distance and going.

  • Dark Tornado (19:30 Leicester) – Top last time out by 9, top overall by 18, and top for every single metric.

It was a successful day with two winners from six bets: Northcliff, who won in determined fashion at Ascot, and Dark Tornado, who rounded off the day nicely.

The only downside was that both winners drifted in the market to bigger prices than I took—Northcliff notably going off at 12.6/1 on Betfair.

Nonetheless, a profit of £2,040 takes the bank to £37,380.98, with a UK flat meeting at Newcastle to tackle on Sunday.

Total Bets: 508

Total Wins: 164

Daily profit: £2,040

Overall Profit: £36,380.98

Bank: £37,380.98

Next Stake: £400 (capping stake at £400, going higher makes it difficult to get bets on unless placed at the off.)

Friday 9th May

Plenty of flat action across the country today, and I had three selections using the Paceform Figures and my method:

  • Gorak (13:30 Chester) – Top last time out by 1 and close to best on every metric. Ran okay in 5th but not good enough on the day.

  • Reigning Profit (18:55 Ripon) – Top last time out by a huge 6, best for going and just 1 off the top for course and distance. Travelled strongly and was a comfortable winner.

  • Poet’s Dawn (20:05 Ripon) – Top last time out by 4 and led every key metric. Given a poor ride at a big price—trapped at a crucial stage, pulled wide late, and flew home for 4th. An unlucky loser.

A profit of £340 on the day lifts the bank to £35,340.98, heading into an action-packed Saturday.

Total Bets: 502

Thursday 8th May

Flat racing today came from Chester, Brighton, and Chelmsford. Using the Paceform Figures and my method, I found two bets:

  • Austrian Theory (16:10 Chester): Joint top-rated last time out, 2nd best course figure, 4th best at the distance, and 2nd best on the going.

  • Fat Gladiator (20:55 Chelmsford): Top-rated last time out by 1. When discounting older figures, he was 2nd best for both course and distance.

Austrian Theory ran a blinder at a big price, finishing 2nd and closing on the winner all the way to the line. Fat Gladiator never really got involved after being well placed. A deficit of £800 on the day leaves my bank at £35,000.98.

Total Bets: 499

Total Wins: 161

Daily profit: -£400

Overall Profit: £34,000.98

Wednesday 7th May

The Chester May Festival kicked off today, alongside an all-weather card at Kempton. I didn’t place a bet at Chester due to limited course form based on my criteria, but it’s worth noting that 5 of the 7 races were won by the horse with the highest last-time-out Paceform figure—Rule One of my method.

Winners included:

Ali Shuffle (5/6), Minnie Hauk (13/8), Lambourn (11/8), Hammer The Hammer (9/2), and Daiquiri Bay (11/4). I

t’s a great way to quickly identify horses with the best recent form.

As I type, five races have been run at Kempton, and three were also won by the horse with the top last time out Paceform figure: Emery Down (9/1), Miss Chester (14/1), and Billy Mill (8/1). I considered the last two but didn’t pull the trigger.

My only bet of the day was Port Road in the 17:28 at Kempton, who was top last-time-out and close to top for course, distance, and weight. Unfortunately, a wide trip took its toll, and he weakened late on.

A £400 loss on the day brings the bank to £35,800.98.

Total Bets: 497

Total Wins: 161

Daily profit: -£400

Overall Profit: £34,800.98

Bank: £35,800.98

Tuesday 6th May

Wolverhampton was the sole flat meeting today, as I don’t bet on Irish turf races. The Paceform Figures and my method highlighted one selection:

  • Ziggy's Queen (21:00 Wolves) Top-rated last time out by 2, and top overall by 1. Discounting old figures from Kensington Agent and Sibyl Charm, she was also top for course, distance, and going.

The selection disputed the pace from the start, moved to the front turning for home, and found plenty to hold off the opposition for victory. A profit of £2,596 on the day, bringing the bankroll to £36,200.98 ahead of tomorrow's Chester Cup meeting.

Total Bets: 496

Total Wins: 161

Daily profit: £2596

Overall Profit: £35,200.98

Bank: £36,200.98

Next Stake: £400 (capping stake at £400, going higher makes it difficult to get bets on unless placed at the off.)

Monday 5th May

As usual on a bank holiday, there was plenty of action and I had six bets today using the Paceform data and my method:

  • Rappers Delight (14:00 Kempton) Top last-time-out rating by 7Top for course, distance, going, and weight

  • Shallow (15:10 Kempton) Top last-time-out rating by 6Top for course, distance, and going

  • Savalas (16:00 Bath) Top last-time-out rating by 1Top for distance, going, and weight 3rd best for course

  • Triggered (17:30 Kempton) Top last-time-out rating by 2Close to top across all key metrics

  • Eye Of The Water (17:45 Bath) Top last-time-out rating by 3Close to top across all key metrics

  • Curtiz (17:55 Windsor) Top last-time-out rating by 1Top for course, distance, and going

Rappers Delight and Shallow both finished 2nd and Savalas was a neck and a nose 3rd—it started to feel like one of those days. Triggered and Eye Of The Water both finished 5th, while Curtiz rounded off the day in 3rd.

I secured some really good prices compared to SP, but that didn’t matter in the end. Today was a reminder of what you have to endure to be successful—blank days like this won’t be the last. The key is to wake up tomorrow and apply the same criteria with discipline and consistency.

Loss on the day: £2,400. Updated bankroll: £33,604.98

Total Bets: 495

Total Wins: 160

Daily profit: -£2400

Overall Profit: £32,604.98

Bank: £33,604.98

Next Stake: £400 (capping stake at £400, going higher makes it difficult to get bets on unless placed at the off.)

Sunday 4th May

Just the one bet for me today using the Paceform Figures and my method, and it came in the 1000 Guineas:

  • Desert Flower (15:35 Newmarket) — joint-top on last-time-out ratings, top overall by 2, best at the distance and weight, and just one off the best for the course. Although her top figures came on good ground, I took a chance on the good to firm—and this time it paid off (unlike Curious Rover on Friday). The well-backed favourite raced prominently and finished strongly, landing a profit of £528.05 on the day and taking the bank to £36,004.98 to close off another week of racing.

Total Bets: 489

Total Wins: 160

Daily profit: £528.05

Overall Profit: £35,004.98

Bank: £36,004.98

Next Stake: £400 (capping stake at £400, going higher makes it difficult to get bets on unless placed at the off.)

Saturday 3rd May

A busy day of racing, but I chose to sit it out as nothing quite met my criteria. In hindsight, that was a mistake—of the three horses I closely considered (More Thunder 13:45 Newmarket, Rumstar 14:55 Newmarket, and Chuti Manika), two won at good prices. On reflection, Rumstar was one I really should have backed: top last time out, joint top overall, and near-best on every metric. Oh well—live and learn.

Friday 2nd May

Flat action from Newmarket, Goodwood, Musselburgh and Newcastle today, but only two horses met my criteria using the Paceform Figures:

  • Curious Rover – Top last time out by 7, top for course, second for distance. The going was a concern, but I chanced it—those who didn’t were proven right. He faded tamely, and with both wins on soft, the quicker ground flagged by the figures should have been a warning.

  • Keep Me Stable (15:20 Musselburgh) – Top last time out by 3, top for course and weight, and close to best for distance and going. Travelled well and looked the winner approaching the final furlong but didn’t pick up when it mattered, finishing fourth.

That drops my bank by £800 to £35,476.93 heading into the weekend’s first Classics—the 2000 and 1000 Guineas at Newmarket.

Total Bets: 488

Total Wins: 159

Daily profit: -£800

Overall Profit: £34,476.93

Bank: £35,476.93

Next Stake: £400 (capping stake at £400, going higher makes it difficult to get bets on unless placed at the off.)

Thursday 1st May

A busy day with five UK flat meetings and four bets using the Paceform Figures and my usual approach.

  • Wondrous Ways (13:45 Redcar): Top last time out by 1, best for course, distance, and going.

  • Mystical Storm: Top LTO by 8, top for course, distance, and weight. Unproven on quick ground but worth the risk given the data edge.

  • Young Fire (19:30 Ayr): Top LTO by 9. Ignoring old Glasses Up figures, he was near-top across all metrics.

  • Monsieur Beaulieu (19:45 Chelmsford): Top LTO by 5, best for distance and going, close to best for course and weight.

A frustrating day:

  • Wondrous Ways blew the start, losing several lengths.

  • Mystical Storm, well backed and travelling best, finished a close 3rd—possibly disadvantaged away from the stands’ rail.

  • Young Fire ran well for 2nd.

  • Monsieur Beaulieu was a closing neck 2nd at Chelmsford.

A £1,600 loss on the day brings the bank to £36,276.93, heading into Guineas weekend at Newmarket.

Total Bets: 486

Total Wins: 159

Daily profit: -£1600

Overall Profit: £35,276.93

Bank: £36,276.93

Next Stake: £400 (capping stake at £400, going higher makes it difficult to get bets on unless placed at the off.)

Wednesday 30th April

A busy day with four flat meetings and five personal bets using my method with the Paceform Figures.

Lednikov (18:10 Southwell) – Top last time out by 1, best for course, distance, and weight.

Voix De Bocelli (18:25 Brighton) – Top last time out by 2, top at the course; close to top on all other metrics when discounting old figures from Light Up Our Stars.

Local Bay (18:55 Brighton) – Joint top last time out, best for course, distance, and going.

Timebar (19:10 Southwell) – Joint top last time out; topped all metrics when discounting old figures.

Voltaic (19:25 Brighton) – Top last time out by 2, best for distance, going, and weight, and second-best for course.

It was a case of "close but no cigar"—all five placed, but only Voix De Bocelli won, finishing strongly late on. Local Bay and Voltaic were both close seconds; either winning would have made the day profitable. Timebar and Lednikov finished third.

A £604 deficit leaves the bank at £37,876.93 as we head into May, with top-class action at Newmarket this weekend.

Total Bets: 482

Total Wins: 159

Daily profit: -£604

Overall Profit: £36,876.93

Bank: £37,876.93

Next Stake: £400 (capping stake at £400, going higher makes it difficult to get bets on unless placed at the off.)

Tuesday 29th April

Brighton, Nottingham and Wolverhampton hosted today’s trio of Flat meetings. I placed three bets using the Paceform Figures, following my usual criteria:

  • Zayina (16:05 Brighton) – Top-rated last time out by 3 points, and top for course, distance, and going.

  • Bobacious (17:38 Nottingham) – Top-rated last time out by 1 point, top for course, and strong across other metrics once older figures (over a year) for Time Tells All and Jewel Maker are excluded. You can spot this when the bold numbers in the summary box are higher than the light blue overall rating, which ranks runners by their best speed figure on the current surface in the last 12 months.

  • Pysanka (19:30 Wolverhampton) – Joint top-rated last time out, and top for distance, weight, course, and going when excluding outdated figures for Blue Hero.

Results: Zayina was never involved, Bobacious faded after leading most of the way, and Pysanka finished strongly for 2nd but had too much to do. A blank day, with a £1,200 loss, brings the bank to £38,480.93.

It’s worth remembering that around 70% of my bets lose. Losing runs are part of the game. To grow the bank, you must stay consistent with staking, trust the process, and remain disciplined—do that, and like me, you'll be rewarded handsomely over time.

Total Bets: 477

Total Wins: 158

Daily profit: -£1200

Overall Profit: £37,480.93

Bank: £38,480.93

Next Stake: £400 (capping stake at £400, going higher makes it difficult to get bets on unless placed at the off.)

Monday 28th April

Ayr, Lingfield, Windsor, and Wolverhampton were the flat meetings to focus on. I don't bet on Irish turf meetings. Using the Paceform Figures alongside my method, I quickly located six bets in under five minutes:

  • Diamondonthehill (14:45 Lingfield) – Top last time out by 7, top overall by 1, top for course and weight, second for distance and going (would be top for both if excluding Society Lion's old figures).

  • Just Ten High (16:50 Lingfield) – Top last time out by 1, top overall by 1, top for distance, going and weight, second for course.

  • Glasses Up (17:13 Ayr) – Top last time out by 7, and top for course, distance, going and weight.

  • Sea Founder (17:30 Windsor) – Top last time out by 12, top overall by 3, and top for course, distance, going and weight.

  • Cherry Cola (19:00 Windsor) – Top last time out by 9, top for course, distance and weight, second for going.

  • Aberama Gold (20:20 Windsor) – Top last time out by 4, top for course and weight, second for going and distance.

It was another strong day with four winners from six bets. Diamondonthehill and Just Ten High both delivered on the all-weather. Glasses Up was heavily backed at Ayr, making my early bet excellent value compared to the SP, and Sea Founder produced a strong late run to win at Windsor.

Cherry Cola and Aberama Gold didn’t run to their best, but that hardly matters when I finish the day with a profit of £4,056 from my £400 staking.

Without sounding like a broken record: simply apply the method I explain HERE using the Paceform Figures, with discipline and consistency. Ten minutes or less per day is well worth it when you can see my £1,000 starting bank on 18th November 2024 now stands at £39,680.93, just over five months later.

Total Bets: 474

Total Wins: 158

Daily profit: £4056

Overall Profit: £38,680.93

Bank: £39,680.93

Next Stake: £400 (capping stake at £400, going higher makes it difficult to get bets on unless placed at the off.)

Sunday 27th April

Wetherby and Southwell provided today's flat racing. With little course form at Wetherby, course figures are the cornerstone of my method — it was Southwell that produced a selection.

One horse stood out using my criteria and the Paceform Figures:

Hammer The Hammer (17:45) —✅ Top last-time-out by 4✅ Top overall by 2✅ Top for course✅ Top for going. While untried at the distance, he had plenty in his favour — and he proved it, running riot to win by 6 lengths.

It was a similar story to French Sand yesterday: after drifting to a good price, strong midday support saw him go off at 7/2, making my earlier 7/1 look tremendous value.

It doesn’t always come together this perfectly, but it’s sweet when it does! Today’s profit of £2,800 takes the £1,000 starting bank to a new high of £35,624.93, just in time for a huge week with the Guineas meeting starting Friday.

Total Bets: 468

Total Wins: 154

Daily profit: £2800

Overall Profit: £34,624.93

Bank: £35,624.93

Next Stake: £400 (capping stake at £400, going higher makes it difficult to get bets on unless placed at the off.)

Saturday 26th April

Very busy Saturday with flat meetings everywhere, but thanks to the Paceform Figures and my criteria, I quickly found four bets in under 10 minutes last night.

  • Knightswood (17:35 Ripon): Top last time out by 4, top overall by 3, top for course, distance, and weight, and 2nd for going.

  • Touchwood (17:45 Wolves): Top last time out by 6; discounting old figures from Swiss Ace, top for distance and 2nd for course and going.

  • French Sand (18:45 Wolves): Top last time out by 4, top overall by 5, and top for course, distance, going, and weight.

  • Candy Warhol (19:15 Wolves): Top last time out by 4; discounting old figures from Savalas and Araifjan, close to best for course, distance, and going.

A successful day with two winners from four bets. Knightswood, a clear standout on the Paceform Figures, won well at Ripon, while French Sand — jumping off the page using the data — hacked up by 3 lengths at Wolves. The price last night and early today on French Sand was outstanding value compared to SP, with strong support all day.

A profit of £2,320 today takes my £1,000 bank to £32,824.93 — an incredible result showing what a disciplined, consistent approach can achieve using the Paceform Figures and 2% compounding stakes.

Only if you're not a quitter, that is.

Total Bets: 467

Total Wins: 153

Daily profit: £2,320

Overall Profit: £31,824.93

Bank: £32,824.93

Next Stake: £400 (capping stake at £400, going higher makes it difficult to get bets on unless placed at the off.)

Friday 25th April

Some quality racing today, especially at Sandown, but no blog bets as nothing quite met the criteria. Sitting tight ahead of a busy day tomorrow. The bank remains at £30,504.93.

Thursday 24th April

Beverley (turf) and Chelmsford (all-weather) hosted today’s UK flat meetings, with both my selections coming at the grass venue.

  • Two B Tanned (15:47 Beverley) – Top-rated last time out by 2, top overall by 2, and top for course, distance, and weight.

  • Hostelry (16:20 Beverley) – Joint top-rated last time out, and top for course, distance, and weight.

Two B Tanned repeated last week's front-running tactics to win again, this time by an even more comfortable margin of 5.5 lengths. Hostelry also ran well in the next race, staying on for second but just finding one too good.

That gave me a £112 profit on the day, taking the bank to £30,504.93, with some top-class action coming up at Sandown on Friday and a busy Saturday ahead.

Total Bets: 463

Total Wins: 151

Daily profit: £112

Overall Profit: £29,504.93

Bank: £30,504.93

Next Stake: £400 (capping stake at £400, going higher makes it difficult to get bets on unless placed at the off.)

Wednesday 23rd April

Catterick and Lingfield were the focus of today’s challenge, with three bets using the Paceform Figures and my criteria.

  • Glory Fighter (14:00 Catterick) – Top last time out by 5 and top across all metrics.

  • Beauld As Brass (16:50 Lingfield) – Top last time out by a huge 11, top on course, 2nd for going. Untested at the distance but looked a standout worth chancing.

  • Daisy Roots (19:20 Lingfield) – Top last time out by 2 and near the top across all metrics.

Results: Glory Fighter didn’t run to form, showing little pace after disputing the lead and finished unplaced. Beauld As Brass won comfortably at Lingfield.Daisy Roots attempted to make all and finished a close 4th – just not quite good enough on the night.

Today’s profit of £800 takes the bank to £30,392.93, with top-class racing to come on Friday and over the weekend.

Tuesday 22nd April

Flat action today from Epsom, Yarmouth, and Thirsk. The following selections met the criteria using Paceform Figures:

  • Abate (16:20 Thirsk): Top last time out by 3; best for distance, going, and weight; 2nd for course.

  • Revich (17:00 Epsom): Top last time out by 3; best for going and weight; strong across other metrics.

  • Temper Trap (18:00 Thirsk): Top last time out by 5; close to best on all metrics.

  • Swift Salian (18:30 Thirsk): Top last time out by 6; close to best across the board when discounting older figures from Copper and Five.

  • Masekela (19:00 Thirsk): Top last time out by 10; best for course and distance.

No winners today, with Swift Salian going closest in 2nd. Days like this are part of the game—you need to stomach them if you want the gold at the end of the rainbow. Daily deficit: £2,000. Updated bank: £29,592.93

Monday 21st April

Redcar, Wolverhampton and Kempton made for a busy day of flat racing, with nine bets placed using the Paceform Figures and my usual criteria.

  • Boasty (14:10 Wolves) – Top last time out by 3 and close to the top on all metrics – finished 3rd.

  • Autumn Angel (15:20 Wolves) – Joint top last time out; top for course, distance and going – unplaced.

  • Cruyff Turn (15:40 Redcar) – Top last time out by 1; top for course, distance and weight – won.

  • Rhythm Master (16:15 Redcar) – Top last time out by 6; top for course and weight, close on other metrics – finished 2nd.

  • Bold Suitor (16:30 Wolves) – Top last time out by 4; strong on all metrics when discounting an old figure from Mudlahhim – finished 4th.

  • Coup De Force (16:40 Kempton) – Top last time out by 1; close to the best on all metrics – unplaced.

  • River Wharfe (17:05 Wolves) – Joint top last time out; top for course, distance, going and weight – unplaced.

  • Life On The Rocks (17:45 Wolves) – Top last time out by 3; top for course, distance, going and weight – finished 3rd.

  • Cinnodin (18:20 Kempton) – Top last time out by 2; close to top on all metrics when discounting old figures – unplaced.

Only Cruyff Turn found the winner’s enclosure, and with eight others beaten, the day ended with a loss of £1,520. The bank now stands at £31,592.93.

Total Bets: 453

Total Wins: 149

Daily profit: -£1520

Overall Profit: £30,592.93

Bank: £31,592.93

Next Stake: £400 (capping stake at £400, going higher makes it difficult to get bets on unless placed at the off.)

Sunday 20th April

Bath and Southwell host turf and all-weather flat meetings today, but I’ve no clear bets. A few caught my eye, but none passed all the filters, so I stayed out. A rare no-bet day, but I’m sure there’ll be plenty of opportunities in the coming week.

Saturday 19th April

Musselburgh and Wolverhampton feature in today’s blog. Thanks to the Paceform Figures, I identified four bets using my criteria:

  • Billy McGarry (17:20 Wolves) – Top last time out by 2. Ignoring old figures from Mykonos St John and Wyvern, he ranked close to best across all metrics.

  • Romantic Spirit (19:00 Wolves) – Top last time out by 2, and top for both course and distance.

  • Slowdownbarney (19:30 Wolves) – Top last time out by 8, and top for course, distance, and going.

  • Trust Sergei (20:30 Wolves) – Top last time out by 1, top for course and going. Although untried at the distance, the data suggested he was worth chancing.

Results: Billy McGarry ran well in second but was no match for the easy winner, who went off at a big price. Romantic Spirit stayed on strongly under pressure to reel in the leaders and win. Slowdownbarney was well backed but looked awkward in the run—he stayed on late and just missed out after seeming reluctant when first asked for an effort. Trust Sergei was a comfortable winner to round off a solid day.

Profit: £1,768 added to the bank, which now stands at £33,112.93, up from a starting point of £1,000 on 18/11/24. Amazing what Paceform data and compounding stakes can achieve for those who stay disciplined, consistent and dont quit when the going gets tough.

Total Bets: 444

Total Wins: 148

Daily profit: £1768

Overall Profit: £32,112.93

Bank: £33,112.93

Next Stake: £400 (capping stake at £400, going higher makes it difficult to get bets on unless placed at the off.)

Friday 18th April

Good Friday Round-Up: A Huge Day for the Bank

Good Friday saw the All-Weather Championships take centre stage with meetings at Newcastle, Lingfield, and Chelmsford. And it truly was a Good Friday for me, thanks to the Paceform Figures, which identified eight selections using my criteria:

  • Cyclonite (13:50 Newcastle): Top LTO by 2, top for weight, and close to best for course, distance, and going.

  • Quandary (14:25 Newcastle): Top LTO by 2, close to top for course and distance.

  • Silky Wilkie (15:15 Lingfield): Top LTO by 1, top for course and weight, close to best on other metrics.

  • We Never Stop (15:35 Newcastle): Top LTO by 1, close to top on every metric.

  • Savvy Victory (16:07 Newcastle): Top LTO by 4, top for course and distance.

  • Duke Of Oxford (16:42 Newcastle): Top LTO by 10, top for course and distance.

  • Coul Angel (16:50 Lingfield): Top LTO by 1, top for course, close to top for distance and going.

  • Lord Rapscallion (17:00 Chelmsford): Top LTO by 3, top for course and distance, second for weight and going.

Results:

  • Cyclonite ran a blinder at a big price, finishing a close 3rd.

  • Quandary, Silky Wilkie, Coul Angel, and Savvy Victory were unplaced.

  • Duke Of Oxford was 4th.

  • We Never Stop made all and toughed it out for a massive return at a big price.

  • Lord Rapscallion capped the day with a strong win, again at huge odds, though I landed just under SP.

The day ended with a whopping profit of £13,200, driven by standout performances from We Never Stop and Lord Rapscallion. It’s yet another reminder of what I always say: stick to the process and trust the principles. The Paceform Figures consistently deliver long-term value, and just like that, a month-long losing run has flipped into a new high—bank now at £31,344.93.

Total Bets: 440

Total Wins: 146

Daily profit: £13,200

Overall Profit: £30,344.93

Bank: £31,344.93

Next Stake: £400 (capping stake at £400, going higher makes it difficult to get bets on unless placed at the off.)

Thursday 17th April

Flat racing on Wednesday came from Newmarket and Ripon, with the Paceform Figures highlighting two bets at Ripon.

Dakota Gold (15:42 Ripon) was top last time out by 3, top overall by 2, and led on course and going metrics, while ranking close to best on others.

Garden Oasis (17:25 Ripon) was top last time out by 2 and led on course, going, and weight.

Dakota Gold made all to win for me at a big price—though Betfair SP at 24.2 was even bigger, so I missed out there. Garden Oasis tried to make all but was challenged for the lead and faded to finish fourth.

That left me with a profit of £3,928, taking the £1,000 bank to £18,144.93.

Total Bets: 432

Total Wins: 144

Daily profit: £3928

Overall Profit: £17,144.93

Bank: £18,144.93

Next Stake: £400 (capping stake at £400, going higher makes it difficult to get bets on unless placed at the off.)

Wednesday 16th April

Newmarket and Beverley were my focus today, with three opportunities meeting my usual criteria:

  • Hiya Maite (14:50 Beverley) – Top last time out by 3 and top across all metrics.

  • Swiss Lightning (16:10 Newmarket) – Top last time out by 3, and best for course, distance, and going.

  • Catton Lady (17:37 Beverley) – Joint top last time out, top for distance, and strong on other metrics.

The two Beverley runners were unplaced, but Swiss Lightning was heavily backed into 2/1 favourite and won in a tight finish, making my 5/1 look excellent value.

That gave me a £1,200 profit on the day, taking the bank to £14,216.93.

Total Bets: 430

Total Wins: 143

Daily profit: £1200

Overall Profit: £13,216.93

Bank: £14,216.93

Next Stake: £400 (capping stake at £400, going higher makes it difficult to get bets on unless placed at the off.)

Tuesday 15th April

Newmarket and Kempton dominated the Flat scene today, and I had two bets based on applying my rules to the Paceform Figures.

19:00 Kempton – Invincible MelodyTop-rated last time out by 5, ranked first for distance and weight, and second for going and course. She attempted to make all but faded late on and wasn’t good enough.

19:30 Kempton – Foro RomanoTop-rated last time out by 1, ranked first for course and going, and close up for distance and weight. He also tried to make all, setting a strong pace before weakening close home.

The result was a loss of £800, bringing the bank down to £13,016.93.

A quick note: Woodhay Wonder would have also qualified under my criteria, but a going change at Newmarket from good to good to soft (following rain) ruled her out. She’s definitely one to watch next time she runs at Newmarket on good or faster ground—she travelled like the best horse today but couldn’t see it out in the softer conditions fading into 3rd.

Total Bets: 427

Total Wins: 142

Daily profit: -£800

Overall Profit: £12,016.93

Bank: £13,016.93

Next Stake: £400 (capping stake at £400, going higher makes it difficult to get bets on unless placed at the off.)

Monday 14th April

Pontefract for flat racing fans today, and just one personal bet for me, based on my criteria using the Paceform Figures.

  • Reigning Profit (5:35) – joint top on last time out, top overall, and ranks highest for course, distance, and weight; second on going. A standout contender. He ran very well despite a wide trip, only losing out in a photo finish.

Luck hasn’t been on my side lately, but I continue in exactly the same way, with no emotion affecting my approach. £1,000 bank now stands at £13,816.93.

Total Bets: 425

Total Wins: 142

Daily profit: -£400

Overall Profit: £12,816.93

Bank: £13,816.93

Next Stake: £400 (capping stake at £400, going higher makes it difficult to get bets on unless placed at the off.)

Sunday 13th April

Just one flat meeting at Musselburgh today and one bet for me using the Paceform Figures and my criteria—at a big price. Tafsir (17:15) was top-rated last time out, top at the course, and strong across other metrics. Unfortunately, things went badly wrong at the start. The jockey was trying to remove the blindfold as the horse reared when the stalls opened, losing over 10 lengths. That effectively ended her chances. My £1,000 bank takes another hit and now stands at £14,216.93 ahead of what looks a promising week of racing.

Total Bets: 424

Total Wins: 142

Daily profit: -£400

Overall Profit: £13,216.93

Bank: £14,216.93

Next Stake: £400 (capping stake at £400, going higher makes it difficult to get bets on unless placed at the off.)

Saturday 12th April

A busy day of flat racing with five meetings and three personal selections based on Paceform Figures and my rules.

Forza Orta (18:10 Thirsk) – Top last time out by 7, and best for course, going, and weight.

Mudlahhim (19:00 Brighton) – Top last time out by 3, and top for course and distance.

Rock Of England (19:10 Thirsk) – Top last time out by 3, top for course and weight, and close on other key metrics.

There were 11 individual winners today with the top last-time-out Paceform figure, but none passed all my filters—leaving me with three losers. None of the selections I backed really threatened, and the £1,000 bank dips to £14,616.93.

Hoping for better luck as the flat turf season picks up in the coming weeks.

Total Bets: 423

Total Wins: 142

Daily profit: -£1200

Overall Profit: £13,616.93

Bank: £14,616.93

Next Stake: £400 (capping stake at £400, going higher makes it difficult to get bets on unless placed at the off.)

Friday 11th April

With nothing standing out at Newbury today, it was left to Dundalk to provide a betting opportunity using my criteria and the Paceform Figures. Bungle Inthedesert came out top on last time out figures by 3 and was closely matched across all key metrics—especially when discounting older form from Macadams Rock and Mullacash Buzz. The selection wasn’t beaten far in fourth but ultimately wasn’t good enough on the night. The bank now stands at £15,816.93 ahead of a busy weekend of racing.

Total Bets: 420

Total Wins: 142

Daily profit: -£400

Overall Profit: £14,816.93

Bank: £15,816.93

Next Stake: £400 (capping stake at £400, going higher makes it difficult to get bets on unless placed at the off.)

Thursday 10th April

Lingfield and Newcastle represent today’s flat action, and I had three bets using the Paceform Figures and my criteria.

  • Lilkian (16:12 Lingfield) – Top-rated last time out, best for course and going, and strong across other metrics.

  • Molinari (17:00 Newcastle) – Top-rated by 2, best for distance and weight, with solid figures elsewhere.

  • Grant Wood (19:00 Newcastle) – Joint top last time out, best for distance and weight, close on course and going.

Lilkian ran poorly, as the market drift suggested. Molinari ran well in second but was outclassed by an unexposed rival. Grant Wood was agonisingly beaten into second at a good price, losing by the narrowest margin.

A £1,200 loss leaves the bank at £16,216.93.

Total Bets: 419

Total Wins: 142

Daily profit: -£1200

Overall Profit: £15,216.93

Bank: £16,216.93

Next Stake: £400 (capping stake at £400, going higher makes it difficult to get bets on unless placed at the off.)

Wednesday 9th April

Flat racing opportunities today came at Nottingham, Catterick, and Kempton. Using my criteria and the Paceform Figures, three horses stood out:

  • Stellarmasterpiece (15:13 Catterick) – Top last time out by 1, top at the course, and achieved its highest Paceform figure at this distance. Open to improvement after just three starts.

  • Beltane (16:13 Catterick) – Joint top last time out, top for distance and weight, and close to best at the course.

  • Life Is Beautiful (17:40 Kempton) – Top last time out by 5, and top for course, distance, and going.

Results: Stellarmasterpiece finished strongly to hold off the runner-up for a well-deserved win. Beltane never got going and may have needed the run. Life Is Beautiful ran well in second.

A profit of £800 on the day takes the bank to £17,416.93.

Total Bets: 416

Total Wins: 142

Daily profit: £800

Overall Profit: £16,416.93

Tuesday 8th April

Flat racing today came from Pontefract and Southwell, and my approach identified three bets using the Paceform Figures.

  • Mrs Trump (16:42 Pontefract): Top last time out by 3, top at the course, and close to best across all metrics.

  • Biplane (19:00 Southwell): Top last time out by 5, and top for course, distance, and going.

  • Nazuki (19:30 Southwell): Joint top last time out, and top for course, distance, and going.

Mrs Trump ran on late without ever threatening the principals. Biplane travelled well from the rear but had a similar story. Nazuki, however, came home strongly to win.

A loss of £404 leaves the bank at £16,616.93.

Total Bets: 413

Total Wins: 141

Daily profit: -£404

Overall Profit: £15,616.93

Bank: £16,616.93

Next Stake: £400 (capping stake at £400, going higher makes it difficult to get bets on unless placed at the off.)

Monday 7th April

Flat racing today at Redcar, Wolverhampton, and Kempton, with four bets for me using my method with the Paceform Figures.

  • 14:35 Wolverhampton – Enrolled: Top last time out by 3; also top for course and distance.

  • 18:00 Kempton – Fifth Column: Top last time out by 3, top overall by 3, and top for course and going.

  • 18:10 Wolverhampton – Papa Don’t Preach: Top last time out by 1, joint top overall, and close to top on all metrics when discounting older figures from Alafdhal and Nubough.

  • 19:00 Kempton – Al Ameen: Top last time out by 2, top for weight, and virtually best across all metrics when excluding outdated figures from Soar Above.

A good day with 2 winners from 4 bets. Fifth Column stayed on strongly to win, while Al Ameen travelled like a dream before winning by a wide margin. Profit on the day: £1,488 taking the bank to £17,020.93

Total Bets: 410

Total Wins: 140

Daily profit: £1488

Overall Profit: £16,020.93

Bank: £17,020.93

Next Stake: £400 (capping stake at £400, going higher makes it difficult to get bets on unless placed at the off.)

Sunday 6th April

Southwell's all-weather meeting was the focus for flat racing today, as I don’t bet on Irish turf cards. Just one bet for me, using the Paceform Figures and applying my usual criteria.

Ferrous (16:55) was joint-top rated last time out, joint-top overall, and—discounting outdated figures from rivals—he ranked top for distance and going, and second-best at the course. Plenty in his favour.

He delivered a strong late run to win, ending a recent lean spell (an inevitable part of the game). The result was a profit of £2,596 on the day, taking the bank to £15,532.93 ahead of a busy week of racing.

Total Bets: 406

Total Wins: 138

Daily profit: £2596

Overall Profit: £14,532.93

Bank: £15,532.93

Next Stake: £400 (capping stake at £400, going higher makes it difficult to get bets on unless placed at the off.)

Saturday 5th April

Flat racing today came from Yarmouth and Wolverhampton, with two bets for me using the Paceform Figures.

19:15 Wolves – Forever Proud Top rated last time out by 9, joint top overall, and second best for course and distance (just one off top) and going. However, he was caught three wide early and couldn’t get involved – the extra ground covered ended his chances.

19:45 Wolves – Scattering Light Top rated last time out by 4, top overall, and top for course, distance, and going. Couldn’t go the gallop and never looked a threat.

A disappointing day, with both runners underperforming. The £1000 bank now stands at £12,936.93 ahead of Sunday’s racing.

Total Bets: 405

Total Wins: 137

Daily profit: -£800

Overall Profit: £11,936.93

Bank: £12,936.93

Next Stake: £400 (capping stake at £400, going higher makes it difficult to get bets on unless placed at the off.)

Friday 4th April

A busy day of flat racing with four meetings across turf and all-weather, yielding six bets using my filters and Paceform Figures:

  • Ciara Pearl (16:27 Leicester) – Top last time out by 2; top for course, going, and weight.

  • Above (17:02 Leicester) – Joint top last time out; top for course, distance, and going.

  • Eric Lock (17:42 Dundalk) – Top last time out by 6; top for distance, 2nd for course and going.

  • How Impressive (17:50 Southwell) – Top last time out by 3; top for course, distance, and going.

  • First Wave (18:45 Dundalk) – Top last time out by 2; top across all metrics.

  • Harry The Rogue (19:15 Dundalk) – Top last time out by 4; top for course and going.

A disappointing day with two seconds, three thirds, and one unplaced, leaving a £2,400 deficit. The £1,000 bank now stands at £13,736.93.

How Impressive was particularly unlucky at Southwell, caught in the final stride on the bob. But hard luck doesn’t pay in this game—the key is staying in until the tide turns again.

Total Bets: 403

Total Wins: 137

Daily profit: -£2400

Overall Profit: £12,736.93

Bank: £13,736.93

Next Stake: £400 (capping stake at £400, going higher makes it difficult to get bets on unless placed at the off.)

Thursday 3rd April

Chelmsford hosted today’s flat racing card, with one opportunity flagged by the Paceform Figures using my criteria. Hype Merchant (20:30) was top last time out by 1, top overall by 2, and ranked highest for course, distance, going, and weight.

I backed him at a double-figure price, and he ran well but found one too good, finishing second. A £400 loss leaves the bankroll at £16,136.93 ahead of Friday’s racing, as the turf season gets underway.

Total Bets: 397

Total Wins: 137

Daily profit: -£400

Overall Profit: £15,136.93

Bank: £16,136.93

Next Stake: £400 (capping stake at £400, going higher makes it difficult to get bets on unless placed at the off.)

Wednesday 2nd April

Musselburgh and Southwell were the focus for flat racing (I don’t usually bet on Irish turf meetings), and I found two opportunities using my criteria and figures.

  • Royal Duke (16:43 Musselburgh) – Top last-time-out by 2, top for the course, and close to the best for distance and going.

  • Margot Robbie (18:00 Southwell) – Top last-time-out by 1, just one off the best for course, distance, and going.

Royal Duke was well backed, with my price above 6/1 good value compared to the eventual 4/1 SP. However, early interference left him at the rear, and despite a strong late run to finish fourth, he had too much to do. Margot Robbie finished third but never looked like catching the front two.

A loss of £800 leaves the bank at £16,536.93, with tomorrows Chelmsford card the next focus.

Total Bets: 396

Total Wins: 137

Daily profit: -£800

Overall Profit: £15,536.93

Bank: £16,536.93

Next Stake: £400 (I’m capping my stake at £400, as going much higher makes it difficult to get bets on unless i bet at the off.)

Tuesday 1st April

Lingfield and Wolverhampton hosted flat racing today, and my Paceform Figures criteria highlighted three selections:

  • Brunel Charm (14:02 Lingfield) – Top last time out by 3, top for course and going.

  • Jungle Land (19:00 Wolves) – Top last time out by 2, top overall by 1, and close to best across all metrics, discounting old figures from Digital and Muscika.

  • Kamekist (19:30 Wolves) – Top last time out by 6, top overall by 6, and top for course and going.

Brunel Charm was too keen and faded, Jungle Land looked the winner but was run down late to finish 2nd, while Kamekist delivered the win. A £112 loss on the day with £400 stakes extends the losing run, but I’ll stay disciplined and consistent for the inevitable upswing. The bank now stands at £17,336.93, with plenty of opportunities ahead as the turf season begins.

Total Bets: 394

Total Wins: 137

Daily profit: -£112

Overall Profit: £16,336.93

Bank: £17,336.93

Next Stake: £400 (I’m capping my stake at £400, as going much higher makes it difficult to get bets on unless i bet at the off.)

Monday 31st March

Wolverhampton is the only flat meeting today, with three bets based on my criteria and the Paceform Figures.

  • Alafdhal (16:55) – Joint top last time out and top for course, distance, and going.

  • French Sand (17:30) – Clear top last time out by 2 and top for course, distance, and going.

  • Mr Baloo (18:30) – Top last time out by 1, top overall, and close to the best in every metric.

Results: Alafdhal finished 5th, French Sand was 2nd (behind a well-backed winner in a very fast time), and Mr Baloo stayed on well to win after a wide trip early on. A £56 loss on the day, with the bank now at £17,448.93.

Total Bets: 391

Total Wins: 136

Daily profit: -£56

Overall Profit: £16,448.93

Bank: £17,448.93

Next Stake: £400 (I’m capping my stake at £400, as going much higher makes it difficult to get bets on unless i bet at the off.)

Sunday 30th March

Doncaster hosts the sole English flat meeting today, the second turf fixture of the year. One horse stood out based on Paceform Figures and my usual criteria:

Stressfree in the 16:15. Joint top last time out, top for course, and very close to the best for distance, going, and weight, with conditions in his favour.

A fourth-place finish doesn’t tell the full story. He travelled best but was repeatedly denied a clear run in the straight, badly hampered late on before running on again for a close fourth. Not the finest ride you’ll see, and with a clear run, I’m confident he would have won.

Fine margins in horse racing, and today, luck wasn’t on my side. The bankroll now sits at £17,504.93.

Total Bets: 388

Total Wins: 135

Daily profit: -£400

Overall Profit: £16,504.93

Bank: £17,504.93

Next Stake: £400 (I’m capping my stake at £400, as going much higher makes it difficult to get bets on unless i bet at the off.)
