Saturday 13th September

What an amazing way to end my £1,000 Challenge. I started on 18th November 2024 with a small bank, aiming to publicly show the power of my Paceform Figures combined with discipline, consistency, and a safe compounding staking plan. Ten months later, and £63,669.08 up, the message is clear.

Today there were five bets using my method:

  • Spioradalta (16:00 Chester): Joint top last time out, top for course, and strong for distance and going. Drifted heavily in the market but made all to win gamely at 16/1 SP on Betfair.

  • Golden Valour (16:10 Musselburgh): Top last time out by 2, strong on distance, going, weight, and close to best for course. Well-backed and won.

  • Clearpoint (17:00 Lingfield): Top last time out by 1, top on every metric. Drifted in betting but made all to score.

  • Eye Of The Water (18:13 Bath): Top last time out by 1, strong on course, going, and weight, 2nd for distance. Finished runner-up.

  • Ziggys Condor (18:52 Musselburgh): Top last time out by 3, close on all metrics but faded late.

Three winners returned a superb £8,888 profit, ending the challenge at a new bank high of £63,669.08. A truly fitting finish to an incredible journey.

Total Bets: 968

Total Wins: 264

Daily profit: £8,888

Overall Profit: £62,669.08

Bank: £63,669.08

Friday 12th September

4 bets today using my method:

  • Sweet William (15:00 Doncaster) – top last time out by 6, top for distance, close up on other metrics.

  • Vixey (15:17 Chester) – top last time out by 3, top for course, close up on all metrics.

  • Knebworth (17:20 Doncaster) – top last time out by 3, top for course, close up on distance and going.

  • Under The Twilight (17:45 Salisbury) – joint top last time out, top for course, distance, and weight.

Two winners today from the shorter prices, with Sweet William bolting up at Doncaster and Vixey finishing strongly for victory at Chester. That returned a profit of £536, pushing my bank up to £54,781.08.

Total Bets: 963

Total Wins: 261

Daily profit: £536

Overall Profit: £53,781.08

Bank: £54,781.08

Next Stake: £400 (capping stake at £400, going higher makes it difficult to get bets on unless placed at the off.)

Thursday 11th September

Three bets today using my method and Paceform Figures:

  • Pinjarra (15:10 Chelmsford) – top last time out by 1, strong across all metrics.

  • Lessay (16:50 Chelmsford) – top last time out by 4, top for weight, strong on other metrics.

  • Fan Mail (19:30 Newcastle) – joint top last time out, top for course, distance, and going.

Race outcomes:

  • Pinjarra was well backed, tried to make all, traded odds on in-running but faded late.

  • Lessay ran well to finish 3rd.

  • Fan Mail was heavily supported all day, but the jockey was blocked in the final 2 furlongs; with a clear run, he would likely have won.

Woulda, shoulda, coulda doesn’t pay in this game. A deficit of £1,200 leaves my bank at £54,245.08.

Total Bets: 959

Total Wins: 259

Daily profit: -£1,200

Overall Profit: £53,245.08

Bank: £54,245.08

Next Stake: £400 (capping stake at £400, going higher makes it difficult to get bets on unless placed at the off.)

Tuesday 9th September

6 bets today using my method and the Paceform Figures:

  • Hibernate (14:20 Leicester) – Top last time out by 2; discounting old figures, scores well across the metrics.

  • Albegone (14:40 Catterick) – Top last time out by 8; top for course and strong on other metrics.

  • One More Dream (16:10 Catterick) – Top last time out by 1; good scores across all metrics.

  • Emerald Army (17:10 Catterick) – Top last time out by 4; solid scores across the board.

  • Mighty Bandit (18:55 Ffos Las) – Top last time out by 1; top for course, distance, and weight.

  • Lhebayeb (19:25 Ffos Las) – Top last time out by 8; top for course, going, and weight.

A bit of an unlucky day with 3 second places: Hibernate caught late at Leicester, One More Dream the same at Catterick, and Mighty Bandit unable to reel in the winner in the closing stages at Ffos Las. A deficit of £2,400 leaves my bank at £55,445.08.

Total Bets: 956

Total Wins: 259

Daily profit: -£2,400

Overall Profit: £54,445.08

Bank: £55,445.08

Next Stake: £400 (capping stake at £400, going higher makes it difficult to get bets on unless placed at the off.)

Monday 8th September

A very busy day with 9 bets using my method:

  • Aiming High (14:22 Lingfield) – top last time out by 1, top every metric.

  • Agostino (14:52 Lingfield) – top last time out by 4, strong on all metrics when discounting old rival figures.

  • Harryella (15:22 Lingfield) – top last time out by 3, top for course, distance, going and weight.

  • Naasma (15:32 Windsor) – top last time out by 2, top for course, distance and weight.

  • Fai Fai (16:28 Lingfield) – top last time out by 2, close on all metrics when ignoring Old Bard’s old figures.

  • Havechatma (16:58 Lingfield) – joint top last time out, top for course, going and weight.

  • Hatysa (17:10 Newcastle) – top last time out by 10, top for weight and 2nd for course/distance.

  • Bazball (19:40 Newcastle) – top last time out by 4, close to top course/distance when discounting old figures.

  • Dorothy May (20:40 Newcastle) – top last time out by 1, solid course/distance when discounting old rival figures.

A productive day with Aiming High, Harryella, Naasma and Hatysa all winning, and it was nearly even better with Agostino and Bazball finishing 2nd. Profit: £3,876.05, taking the bank to a new all-time high of £57,845.08.

Total Bets: 950

Total Wins: 259

Daily profit: £3,876.05

Overall Profit: £56,845.08

Bank: £57,845.08

Next Stake: £400 (capping stake at £400, going higher makes it difficult to get bets on unless placed at the off.)

Sunday 7th September

Despite just the one meeting at York today, I had 4 bets using my method:

  • Air Force One (15:00 York) – top last time out by 1, good scores for course, distance, and going.

  • Per Contra (16:00 York) – top last time out by 2, strong across all metrics.

  • Lethal Levi (16:30 York) – top last time out by 1, top across all metrics.

  • Barley (17:30 York) – top last time out by 3, strong across all metrics.

All 4 ran well but no winners today. Air Force One was beaten by the narrowest of margins into 2nd. Per Contra travelled supremely well and looked the winner but faded late into 7th. Lethal Levi and Barley both finished 4th, with Barley at a big price.

My bank now stands at £53,969.03. I’ll be in touch with those members who have an active subscription this week about a new service, giving them the chance to join and receive my daily blog picks.

Total Bets: 941

Total Wins: 255

Daily profit: -£1,600

Overall Profit: £52,969.03

Bank: £53,969.03

Next Stake: £400 (capping stake at £400, going higher makes it difficult to get bets on unless placed at the off.)

Saturday 6th September

A busy day with 7 bets using my method and the Paceform Figures:

  • Prague (13:15 Haydock) – Top last time out by 2, top for course, strong across other metrics.

  • Eternal Sunshine (16:35 Thirsk) – Top last time out by 1, top for course, strong across metrics.

  • Haku (16:50 Kempton) – Joint top last time out, scoring well across metrics.

  • Valley Of Flowers (17:05 Thirsk) – Top last time out by 1, top for course, close on other metrics.

  • Pretty Spirited (19:12 Wolves) – Top last time out by 1, top for going, 2nd for course and distance.

Like yesterday, most ran well and weren’t beaten far. The stars of the show were Eternal Sunshine, who won readily at Thirsk at a good price in a 16-runner field, and Night On Earth, who made all at Wolves.

This banked me a £2,000 profit on the day, boosting my bank to £55,569.03.

Total Bets: 937

Total Wins: 255

Daily profit: £2,000

Overall Profit: £54,569.03

Next Stake: £400 (capping stake at £400, going higher makes it difficult to get bets on unless placed at the off.)

Friday 5th September

Wow, I feel hard done by today. Four bets using my method and Paceform Figures:

  • Alligator Alley (14:42 Haydock) – Top last time out by 2, strong on course and other metrics. Led, but caught in the dying strides, finishing 2nd of 14 (beaten a neck).

  • Dream Illusion (16:20 Haydock) – Top last time out by 1, strong across all metrics. Blocked for a run, then flew home late, finishing 2nd (beaten half a length).

  • Ebts Guard (16:40 Ascot) – Top last time out by 3, good across other metrics. Finished 3rd of 17 in a big field.

  • Best Rate (19:17 Kempton) – Top last time out by 3, close to best on every metric. Finished 3rd, running on late in a slowly run race.

Two 2nds and two 3rds from four competitive races leave my bank at £53,969.03 with not long left of my £1000 challenge.

Total Bets: 930

Total Wins: 253

Daily profit: -£1,600

Overall Profit: £52,569.03

Bank: £53,569.03

Next Stake: £400 (capping stake at £400, going higher makes it difficult to get bets on unless placed at the off.)

Thursday 4th September

3 bets today using my method:

  • Made All (14:00 Haydock) – joint top last time out, top for course, and with Pralognan old figures discounted close up on distance and going.

  • Flying Finn (16:37 Haydock) – top last time out by 2, top for going, strong course and distance scores.

  • Moulin Booj (18:20 Lingfield) – joint top last time out, solid across all metrics.

Results:

  • Made All finished strongly from the rear but ran out of time, finishing a close 3rd.

  • Flying Finn was outpaced, never a threat.

  • Moulin Booj ran on late but too far back.

A deficit of £1,200 leaves the bank at £55,169.03.

Total Bets: 926

Total Wins: 253

Overall Profit: £54,169.03

Bank: £55,169.03

  • Initial Blue (18:30 Kempton) – joint top LTO, top for course and going, 2nd for distance.

  • Iris Dancer (18:45 Hamilton) – top LTO by 4, top across all metrics.

  • Arkenstaar (19:15 Hamilton) – top LTO by 1, solid across all metrics.

Results:

  • Secret Handsheikh ran well for 2nd.

  • Angels Share bolted up as the data suggested.

  • Belsito won well at a good price.

  • Orbital Chime faded after looking a threat.

  • Initial Blue finished 4th, lacking the final kick.

  • Iris Dancer looked one-paced.

  • Arkenstaar ended the day with a game win.

That made it 3 winners from 7 bets, returning a £2,508 profit and lifting the bank to £56,369.03.

Tuesday 2nd September

Five bets today using the Paceform Figures and my method:

  • Faustus (14:58 Goodwood) – top last time out, top for course/going, strong on other metrics.

  • Some Nightmare (17:25 Chepstow) – joint top last time out, top for course, solid on all metrics.

Results: Faustus travelled well for a long way before fading, Some Nightmare never fired, Great Dream ran on for 4th after a slow start, and Grant Wood threatened before losing out late. Coedana then produced a decisive win to finish the day on a high.

Overall, a £200 deficit on the day, leaving the bank at £53,861.03 with not long left of the £1,000 challenge.

Total Bets: 916

Monday 1st September

2 bets today using my method.

  • Canaria Queen (15:30 Carlisle): Top last time out by 5, strong course, distance, and going metrics. Travelled well tracking the pace but found no gap when needing a run – would have played a big part with luck in running.

  • Toussarok (17:22 Brighton): Top last time out by 5 and top across all metrics. Ran a solid race in 3rd.

That left me with a deficit of £800, and the bank at £54,061.03.

Sunday 31st August

Just the one today using my method and the Paceform Figures:

Havana Mojito (15:52 at Brighton). Top last time out by 2 and top for course and distance. Unfortunately, the selection was far too keen early on, wasting energy, and ultimately faded late. This leaves my bank at £54,861.03.

Total Bets: 909

Total Wins: 249

Daily profit: -£400

Overall Profit: £53,861.03

Bank: £54,861.03

Next Stake: £400 (capping stake at £400, going higher makes it difficult to get bets on unless placed at the off.)

Saturday 30th August

3 bets today using my method:

  • Jeff Koons (15:00 Sandown) – top last time out by 5, top for course, good scores for distance and going. Raced prominently but faded badly late on.

  • Cavern Club (17:35 Chester) – top last time out by 1, top for course, good scores for distance and going. Travelled well at the rear, blocked when making strong headway, lost all chance but ran on for 3rd; looked unlucky.

  • Obsidian Knight (19:25 Lingfield) – top last time out by 8, top for course, distance and going. Finished a close 3rd at a big price.

These results left me with a deficit of £1,200, and my bank at £55,261.03.

Daily profit: -£1,200

Overall Profit: £54,261.03

Next Stake: £400 (capping stake at £400, going higher makes it difficult to get bets on unless placed at the off.)

Friday 29th August

4 bets today using my Paceform Figures method:

  • Four Adaay (13:25 Ffos Las) – top last time out by 1, top for course, distance, and going.

  • Bobby Dassler (14:55 Ffos Las) – top last time out by 2, close to best on all metrics.

  • Man Of La Mancha (15:50 Sandown) – joint top last time out, top on every metric.

  • Desert Raider (21:00 Newcastle) – top last time out by 1, top for course and distance.

All 4 ran well: Four Adaay stayed on strongly to win, Bobby Dassler finished 2nd, Man Of La Mancha powered up the Sandown hill to score, and Desert Raider ran a solid 3rd at big odds.

This produced a tidy profit of £1,272, taking my bank to £56,461.03 – which I believe is a new high as my challenge nears its end.

Total Bets: 905

Thursday 28th August

A rare no bet day for my method, the second this week, but I always stick strictly to the formula that has generated so much profit since November. With 901 bets in 9 months I'm sure there will be opportunities tomorrow.

Wednesday 27th August

5 bets today using my method and Paceform Figures:

  • Havin A Flyer (15:00 Musselburgh) – top last time out by 3; top for course, distance, and going.

  • Rain Cap (15:15 Catterick) – joint top last time out; strong scores on all metrics.

  • Bollin Neil (15:45 Catterick) – top last time out by 1; top for course, distance, and going.

  • Starshot (16:45 Catterick) – joint top last time out; strong scores on all metrics.

  • Royal Duke (17:05 Musselburgh) – top last time out by 1; top for course; discounting old Araifjan figures, close on all other metrics.

Results: Havin A Flyer and Rain Cap both finished 2nd, Starshot was unplaced, while Bollin Neil and Royal Duke both won at decent prices. This produced a profit of £3,264, taking my bank to £55,189.03.

With this challenge nearly complete, keep an eye on your emails, soon I’ll be offering all members with an active Paceform plan (weekly/monthly/annual subscription) the chance to join my new service, where I’ll provide these blog bets daily so you won’t need to apply the method yourself.

Total Bets: 901

Tuesday 26th August

A rare no-bet day for my method with a couple of close calls. The poorest was leaving out Temper Trap (15:50 Musselburgh), and I still can’t explain why. Likely down to tiredness after a late night yesterday. Back tomorrow.

Monday 25th August

A busy Bank Holiday Monday produced 7 bets using the Paceform Figures.

  • Count Otto (13:35 Epsom) – Top last time out by 4; best for distance and going; strong across other metrics.

  • Soi Dao (15:03 Chepstow) – Top last time out by 1; best for course and weight; solid on other metrics.

  • Over Spiced (16:13 Chepstow) – Top last time out by 2; discounting old figures, close to best in all categories.

  • Another Baar (16:23 Ripon) – Top last time out by 1; discounting old figures, close to best for course, distance, and going.

  • Nahash (16:33 Southwell) – Top last time out by 3; best on all metrics.

  • Tiberio Force (16:58 Ripon) – Top last time out by 1; best for distance; discounting old figures, close to best on every metric.

  • Silver Trumpet (17:03 Epsom) – Top last time out by 1; close to best for course and distance.

Two winners at Ripon – Another Baar (bolting up) and Tiberio Force (winning the next race) – made it a profitable day, with £1,776 added. My bank now stands at £51,925.03.

Total Bets: 896

Total Wins: 245

Daily profit: -£1,776

Overall Profit: £50,925.03

Bank: £51,925.03

Next Stake: £400 (capping stake at £400, going higher makes it difficult to get bets on unless placed at the off.)

Sunday 24th August

3 bets today using Paceform Figures and my method:

  • Emeralds Pride (14:40 Beverley): Top last time out by 1, good scores for course, distance, and going.

  • Jakajaro (15:00 Goodwood): Top last time out by 1, strong scores across all metrics.

  • Rocking Ends (15:20 Yarmouth): Top last time out by 10, top for course, 2nd for distance and going.

Unlucky overall: Rocking Ends won well (at a bigger price than I took), and Emeralds Pride would surely have won too but for severe traffic problems, finishing a close 3rd when in the clear. A deficit of £200 leaves the bank at £50,149.03.

Total Bets: 889

Total Wins: 243

Daily profit: -£200

Saturday 23rd August

Very busy day, as many Saturdays are using my method:

  • Great Acclaim (14:05 Goodwood) – top last time out by 1, close to best on all metrics.

  • Adjuvant (14:40 Goodwood) – top last time out by 9, top for course, strong on other metrics.

  • Westerton (15:50 Goodwood) – top last time out by 6, top for distance and going, 2nd for course.

  • Two Tribes (16:10 York) – top last time out by 1, strong across all metrics.

  • Rosario (17:00 Goodwood) – top last time out by 1, close on all metrics.

  • Amazonian Dream (17:15 Windsor) – top last time out by 2, top for course and going, near top on other metrics.

  • Paladin (19:00 Redcar) – top last time out by 6, top for course, going, weight, and strong distance score.

  • Dandy Dinmont (19:30 Redcar) – top last time out by 1, strong across all metrics.

  • Brian The Snail (20:00 Redcar) – top last time out by 1, top on all metrics.

A blank day with no luck: Great Acclaim, Two Tribes, Rosario, and Brian The Snail all ran sound races and weren’t beaten far. That’s how some Saturdays go—most selections are big prices, so with a little luck you hit big winners, but blanks happen too. My bank now stands at £50,349.03.

Friday 22nd August

  • Lethal Levi 13:20 Newmarket – top last time out by 2; top for course & distance; 2nd for going.

  • Angel Shared 15:10 Newmarket – top last time out by 4; top for course, distance & going; 2nd for weight.

  • Arundel 15:45 Newmarket – top last time out by 1; top for course, going & weight.

  • Rock Of England 20:05 Hamilton – top last time out by 5; top for distance & going; 2nd for course & weight.

A fast start to the day saw Lethal Levi win well from the front, with Angel Shared repeating the trick by the narrowest of margins. The next three selections didn’t add more gains, but Rock Of England ran well in 2nd at Hamilton. This left me with a profit of £1,220, taking my bank to £53,949.03.

  • Bellarchi (17:20 York) – top last time out by 3, best for course, distance, and weight, close up for going.

Both went off at decent prices (Bellarchi in particular at a huge price) but neither really threatened victory, resulting in a £800 deficit on the day. Bank now £52,729.03.

Total Bets: 872

Total Wins: 240

Wednesday 20th August

Just the one using my method today in a very competitive York handicap.

Vintage Clarets (13:50 York) was top last time out by 2, and also top for course and weight, close to best at both distance and going.

He raced nearside, held up, and stayed on well for 7th of 20, but the race unfolded in the farside group where low draws dominated. That leaves my bank at £53,529.03 heading into a busy Thursday.

Total Bets: 870

Tuesday 19th August

4 bets today using my method:

  • Angel On High (15:15 Brighton) – Top last time out by 5, top for course & distance, strong across other metrics.

  • Tea Sea (16:45 Brighton) – Top last time out by 1, close across all metrics, best for course, distance & going when discounting old figures from Poetic Force and B Associates.

  • Savannah Smiles (18:30 Chepstow) – Top last time out by 2, close across metrics when ignoring old figures from Fossos.

  • Ravenglass (20:00 Chepstow) – Top last time out by 6, top across all metrics.

Tea Sea won comfortably at Brighton after strong support, while Savannah Smiles was unlucky in running at Chepstow, finishing a close second after traffic problems. That left a small profit of £68, taking the bank to £53,929.03.

Monday 18th August

4 bets today using my method – another excellent day thanks to the Paceform Figures.

  • Stellarmasterpiece (14:15 Catterick) – Joint top last time out, top for course, distance, and close to best for going (discounting old figures from Throne Hall and Expressionless).

  • Under The Twilight (19:00 Windsor) – Top last time out by 7, top for course, distance, weight, and going (discounting old figures).

  • Aberama Gold (19:15 Ayr) – Joint top last time out and top for every metric.

  • Gogo Yubari (20:00 Windsor) – Top last time out by 5, top for course, and close to best on other metrics (discounting old figures from Savalas).

Results: Stellarmasterpiece and Aberama Gold both won, Under The Twilight was a very close 3rd, and Gogo Yubari was too keen and well beaten. It could have been even better as I narrowly ruled out Flowtstate and Another Baar, who both won at Catterick.

Still, a fantastic day with a profit of £3,600, pushing the bank up to £53,861.03.

Sunday 17th August

Just the one for me today using my method. Hale End (15:12 Pontefract) was top last time out by 5 and also top for course, distance, and going. He ran a strong race but was desperately unlucky, beaten in a photo finish after his jockey struggled repeatedly to find a clear run in a small field. A £400 loss leaves my bank at £50,261.03.

Saturday 16th August

Four bets caught my eye today using the Paceform Figures and my method:

  • Al Shaham (14:10 Ripon) – top last time out, top for course, distance, and weight.

  • Bay Dream Believer (16:59 Ripon) – joint top last time out; with old figures from Young Fire discounted, close to best for course and distance.

Results: Al Shaham made all to win well, Fortamour faded when it mattered, Witness Stand was a brave 2nd (caught late by the favourite), and Bay Dream Believer won a battle to finish the day strongly. I ended with a profit of £464, taking the bank up to £50,661.03.

The one winner today was South Parade at Thirsk, with Araifjan a close 2nd, Marlay Park 4th, Charming Whisper 3rd, and Clear Angel 3rd. This left me with a deficit of £400 on the day, and my bank now sits at £50,197.03.

Thursday 14th August

Five bets today using my method and the Paceform Figures — on a day when my recent losing run was firmly put behind me. A timely reminder that sticking to the process and not letting betting emotions take over is key.

  • Rum Therapy (15:12 Beverley) – top last time out by 2, top for course, 2nd for distance and going.

  • Jojo Rabbit (15:47 Beverley) – top last time out by 1, top for course and going, strong across other metrics.

  • Soi Dao (16:45 Chepstow) – joint top last time out, virtually top in every metric.

  • Park Street (16:55 Beverley) – joint top last time out, top for course and going, 2nd for distance.

  • Colors Of Freedom (18:15 Chelmsford) – top last time out by 3, strong in all metrics.

It proved to be one of my best days since starting this challenge in November 2024. Rum Therapy landed a big win at Beverley at a huge price (my 19/1 still failed to beat the SP), while Soi Dao scored at Chepstow. The result was a superb £7,520 profit, lifting my bankroll to £50,597.03.

Another blank day, extending my losing run. Taskheer and Jesmond Dawn were unplaced, Lady Phoebe finished 3rd, and Temper Trap 2nd. Bank now £42,277.03 – possibly my second-longest losing run since starting this challenge (although the bank dropped a much larger percentage around April).

Monday 11th August

4 bets for me today using my method (though I considered Highfield Viking and Sibyl Charm at Ayr, left them, and they both won at decent prices).

  • Jkr Cobbler (15:00 Ayr) – Top last time out by 9, top for course, close up in other metrics. Finished 3rd.

  • Wren Runner (18:10 Windsor) – Top last time out by 2, top for course, distance, and weight. Finished last, well below form.

  • American Style (17:00 Leicester) – Top last time out by 3, top for course, close to best for distance and going.

Another blank day, with none of the four really threatening a win. A good reminder of the losing runs you must endure to be successful, and a chance to show how quickly things can swing when the winners arrive. This is why consistency and disciplined staking are vital. Bank now £45,477.03 — not bad from a £1,000 start.

  • River Wharfe (14:10 Brighton) – Top last time out by 4; strong across all metrics.

  • Lexington Knight (15:40 Brighton) – Top LTO by 2; best for course and distance.

  • Triple Force (15:50 Nottingham) – Top LTO by 3; top for weight and close on all metrics when discounting old figures from Night Bear.

  • Great Acclaim (18:30 Chepstow) – Top LTO by 4; best for course and distance, second for going when discounting older figures from Kings Lynn, El Bodon, and Vafortino.

Results:

  • River Wharfe never featured.

  • Invisible was narrowly denied in 3rd, beaten a neck and a head.

  • Capuchinero finished 4th.

  • Great Acclaim ended the day with a win at Chepstow.

Despite the winner, the five losses left an £80 deficit—another day showing how fine the margins can be, with Lexington Knight just a nose away from turning it into a profitable one.

Wednesday 6th August

Just the one qualifier today using my method: Pop Dancer – 14:15 Brighton Top-rated last time out, and best on course, distance, and weight.

After missing the break from a wide draw and racing wide throughout, it was no surprise to see him weaken tamely when it mattered. Bank now at £51,957.03.

Just the one for me using my method today:

Rain Cap 15:00 Catterick: top last time out by 3, and, discounting older figures from Langholm and Rum Runner, he was close to the best on course, distance, and going.

Rain Cap ran well, finishing strongly but just failed to reel in the front-running winner, Langholm, and came home second.

Thurday 31st July

My only bet of the day using my method, Muscika in the last at Epsom, was a non-runner — lightning has struck twice, and just like yesterday, there's no bet for me. Very rare to have two days in a row with no qualifier.

Wednesday 30th July

A rare no-selection day using my method today, mainly due to a lack of proven course form among the top-rated horses from last time out. I immediately rule out any horse without a strong course figure. I’m sure there’ll be plenty of opportunities tomorrow.

Tuesday 29th July

Six bets today using my method and the Paceform Figures:

  • Poet’s Dawn (14:10 Beverley) – Top last time out by 4, top for course and distance, high on going.

  • Catch Cunningham (17:10 Beverley) – Top last time out by 4, top for course and distance.

  • So Smart (18:50 Ffos Las) – Joint top last time out, top on every metric.

  • Latin Five (19:40 Ripon) – Joint top last time out, top for course, distance, and weight; 2nd for going.

  • Hopeful Joy (20:10 Ripon) – Top last time out by 3, top for course and distance.

  • Sweet Cicely (20:40 Ripon) – Joint top last time out, top for course and distance.

Poet’s Dawn dead-heated for first at Beverley, and So Smart showed bravery to hold on at Ffos Las. Two winners from six bets returned a profit of £1,052.02 on the day.

Total Bets: 789

Total Wins: 223

Daily profit: £1052.02

Overall Profit: £45,877.03

Monday 28th July

Five bets today using my method led to the following selections:

  • Mattice (14:30 Ayr) – Top last time out by 2; strong across the metrics when discounting outdated figures from Danzan and Jump The Gun.

  • Redarna (15:00 Ayr) – Top last time out by 1; top on all metrics.

  • Austrian Theory (16:05 Ayr) – Joint top last time out; solid scores across all metrics.

  • Eden Storm (18:52 Southwell) – Top last time out by 4; strong across the board.

  • Many A Star (19:05 Windsor) – Top last time out by 4; best for course and weight, close up on other metrics.

Unfortunately, all five underperformed, resulting in a loss of exactly £2,000. This brings my current bankroll to £45,825.01.

Sunday 27th July

The focus on Pontefract today with four bets using my method and the Paceform Figures:

  • Eetee (14:25) – Top last time out by 3 and top on all metrics.

  • Point Lynas (14:55) – Top last time out by 3 and top on all metrics.

  • Elegant Erin (16:25) – Joint top last time out, top for course and distance, and close on other metrics. Ventura Express was close to qualifying, but I prioritised course and distance form over going and weight.

  • Gis A Sub (16:55) – Top last time out by 3, top for course, and discounting old figures from Flavius Titus, close to top on other metrics.

A disappointing day – three of the four were weak in the market, which sadly proved a good guide. Only Elegant Erin ran with credit. Down £1,600, leaving my bank at £47,825.01.

Saturday 26th July

Deep breath after a busy day with 11 bets using my method and the Paceform Figures—mainly due to the sheer volume of weekend summer racing.

  • Calling A Star (13:25 York): Top last time out by 2, top on all metrics.

  • Aleezdancer (14:00 York): Top last time out by 2, top on all metrics.

  • Copper Knight (15:20 York): Top last time out by 3, top for distance and going, close to best course.

  • Henery Hawk (16:15 Newcastle): Joint top last time out, best for course and distance.

  • Mesaafi (17:15 Ascot): Top last time out by 1, close across all metrics.

  • Patsy Snugfit (19:30 Salisbury): Top last time out by 6, top for course and going, 2nd best course.

  • Lahina Bay (19:45 Windsor): Top last time out by 1, top for course, strong across all other metrics.

  • Queue Dos (20:15 Windsor): Top last time out by 3, best for course and distance.

Results:

  • Winners: Lahina Bay, Henery Hawk

  • Placed: Calling A Star (2nd), Chantilly Lace (3rd), Copper Knight (4th), Bullet Point (2nd), Maharajas Express (3rd), Queue Dos (3rd)

  • Unplaced: 3 others

Day’s result: £928 loss — bank now at £49,425.01.

Fine margins were clear today—had Bullet Point (close 2nd) won, I’d be £1,632 in profit instead. This highlights how vital it is to stay level-headed, understand the process, and not let emotions take over.

Next Stake: £400 (capping stake at £400, going higher makes it difficult to get bets on unless placed at the off.)

Friday 25th July

6 bets today using the figures and my method:

  • Dandy Style (15:25 Thirsk) – Top last-time-out by 1; top for course, distance, and going.

  • Glory Hyde (16:00 Thirsk) – Top last-time-out by 7; top for course, distance, and going.

  • Magic Stone (18:25 Chepstow) – Top last-time-out by 2; top for distance and going; strong on other metrics.

  • Ingleby Archie (19:13 York) – Top last-time-out by 1; close up on all metrics.

  • Spirit Of The Bay (19:35 Chepstow) – Top last-time-out by 1; top for distance and going; close to best on other metrics.

  • Eye Of The Water (20:10 Chepstow) – Joint top last-time-out; top for course, distance, and weight.

Results: Dandy Style 4th, Glory Hyde 4th, Magic Stone 2nd, Ingleby Archie 11th, Spirit Of The Bay 3rd, Eye Of The Water 8th.

A blank day, leaving me with a £2,400 loss. It feels significant, but fluctuations like this are a normal part of betting. The key is to stay disciplined and trust the process (which is what got me here in the first place). Bank now: £50,353.01

Total Bets: 763

Total Wins: 219

Daily profit: -£2400

Overall Profit: £49,353.01

Bank: £50,353.01

Next Stake: £400 (capping stake at £400, going higher makes it difficult to get bets on unless placed at the off.)

Thursday 24th July

Just the one bet for me today using my method and the Paceform Figures. Despite plenty of racing, a lack of course form ruled out many races straight away.

Lockdown Lass in the 14:35 at Doncaster was joint top-rated on her last run and, discounting some old figures from Autumn Festival, scored well across the key metrics. Unfortunately, after travelling well, she failed to pick up and weakened tamely, finishing down the field.

That leaves me with a £400 loss on the day and my bank now at £52,753.01.

Total Bets: 757

Total Wins: 219

Daily profit: -£400

Overall Profit: £51,753.01

Bank: £52,753.01

Next Stake: £400 (capping stake at £400, going higher makes it difficult to get bets on unless placed at the off.)

Wednesday 23rd July

Two bets today using the method and Paceform Figures, which let me go through all the meetings in under 10 minutes.

Endowed (14:15 Salisbury) was top rated last time out, top for going, and strong across other metrics once discounting older figures from Guiteau and Beau Jardine. Drifted heavily in the market but ran a blinder—led everywhere except the final stride, beaten a nose into second.

Moes Legacy (16:20 Salisbury) was joint top last time out, top for course, and close to best for distance and going after discounting old figures from Notre Maison and Media Guest. Tracked the leaders and won comfortably.

Profit for the day: £960, taking my bank to: £53,153.01

Total Bets: 756

Total Wins: 219

Daily profit: £960

Overall Profit: £52,153.01

Next Stake: £400 (capping stake at £400, going higher makes it difficult to get bets on unless placed at the off.)

Tuesday 22nd July

Three stood out using my method and the Paceform Figures today:

  • Our Absent Friends (16:00 Musselburgh) – Top last time out by 1. Discounting old figures from Never Dark, was close to best on every metric. Well backed before the off, disputed the lead but faded late on.

  • Keep Me Stable (17:00 Musselburgh) – Top last time out by 1. Again, discounting outdated figures from Jugment Call, was close to best on all metrics. Tracked the leader and took over when it mattered to win well.

  • Arlecchinos Rex (20:00 Wolverhampton) – Top last time out by 1 and top across all metrics. Ran well at a big price to finish 3rd, despite traffic problems and being held up in a race that favoured prominent runners. One to watch.

This left me with a profit of £320 on the day. My bank now stands at £52,193.01.

Total Bets: 754

Total Wins: 218

Daily profit: £320

Overall Profit: £51,193.01

Monday 21st July

4 bets today using my method and the Paceform Figures:

  • Danzan (14:30 Ayr) – Joint top last time out and top on every single metric.

  • Darbucks (15:00 Ayr) – Top last time out by 1 and close to best on all metrics when discounting old figures from Cooperation.

  • Penelope’s Sister (16:05 Ayr) – Top last time out by 6 and close to best across the board when discounting old figures from Pisanello and Hale End.

  • Koffee And Kale (17:10 Windsor) – Top last time out by 12, top for distance, going, and weight; close for course.

Results: Danzan got the day off to a flyer with a brave win. Darbucks was travelling well on the rail but found no run and finished down the field. Penelope’s Sister tried to make all and finished 2nd. Koffee And Kale ran well, finishing a close 3rd and was competitive throughout.

I didn’t beat the SP on Danzan, which cost me some profit, but I still added £360 to the bank today, bringing it to £51,873.01.

(I would have also backed Sophiesticate had Wyld Bill been declared a non-runner earlier. He was withdrawn right before the off, which left no time to place the bet – that would have made Sophiesticate top last time out.)

Total Bets: 751

Total Wins: 217

Daily profit: £360

Overall Profit: £50,873.01

Bank: £51,873.01

Next Stake: £400 (capping stake at £400, going higher makes it difficult to get bets on unless placed at the off.)

Sunday 20th July

Just the one bet for me today using my method. As a reminder, I focus solely on UK flat racing—the only Irish meeting I bet at is Dundalk on the all-weather, as many of their turf tracks have inaccurate distances. So it’s Redcar only for me today, not the Curragh.

Stormy Pearl – 17:45 Redcar Joint top-rated on last-time-out figures, top for the going, and close to top on other metrics once older figures from Deputy and Asadjumeirah are discounted. She ran really well, leading up the rail and looking the likely winner before being collared late and finishing second.

A £400 deficit leaves my bank at £51,513.01.

Total Bets: 747

Total Wins: 216

Daily profit: -£400

Overall Profit: £50,513.01

Bank: £51,513.01

Next Stake: £400 (capping stake at £400, going higher makes it difficult to get bets on unless placed at the off.)

Saturday 19th July

4 Bets Using the Paceform Method

🔹 Regional (14:57 Newbury) – Joint top-rated last time out and strong across all metrics. Raced prominently and ran well, just tiring late to finish 3rd.

🔹 Garden Oasis (16:30 Ripon) – Joint top-rated LTO and scored well across the board. Tried to make all, led for a long way before fading late.

🔹 Kings Crown (17:15 Doncaster) – Clear top-rated last time out (by 3), top for course and weight, solid in all other areas. A big drifter in the market, and I didn’t get near the SP — but he defied the drift to win with a bit in hand.

🔹 Young Fire (19:45 Doncaster) – Top LTO by 5, best on weight and close on all other figures. Heavily backed, travelled very well held up, but just couldn’t reel in the front-runner — a narrow 2nd.

📉 Result: Small loss on the day of £99.99.💼 Bank now: £51,913.01

Total Bets: 746

Total Wins: 216

Daily profit: -£99.99

Overall Profit: £50,913.01

Bank: £51,913.01

Next Stake: £400 (capping stake at £400, going higher makes it difficult to get bets on unless placed at the off.)

  • Arnaz (15:50 Haydock): Joint top last time out, top for all metrics.

  • Banana (17:05 Nottingham): Top last time out by 3; close to best on all metrics when ignoring old figures from Second Collection.

  • Catch Cunningham (19:00 Newmarket): Joint top last time out, top for course and weight, close on other metrics.

  • Little Ted (19:20 Pontefract): Joint top last time out, top on all metrics.
